This.

It stays in a heated garage and only gets driven in nice weather.

The new radiator is in, I had to modify my factory fans in order to get it to fit it.

It is a little bit thicker

What was the reasoning behind the thicker core radiator?

Better cooling. With heat exchangers and trans cooler and everything else I wanted a better rad. GM radiators are known for having the internal cooler rupturing with age. I figured if I was gonna replace it I would get a better one.
