So for an all out type of street/drag truck you guys would say the jackshaft is certainly the way to go?
I was thinking about it and actually had planned to do a 2300 charged ls in another project. Never did it, but when I was trying to plan some stuff out, my thinking was that you could use the cog pulleys on the rear with a really good ratio so that a much larger front serpentine pulley could be used up front. Basically be able to spin the blower as hard as you want and not have to really worry about slip issues. Do I have that about right? Another thought came up to but don't really remember looking into it....aren't there options out there for front inlet or rear inlet on the front drive or jack drive?
Do any of the whipple blowers offer or use a jackshaft set up?

Yea thats one of the main advantages of the jackshaft, being able to use overdrive rear pullies so the front pulley can be larger and have less slip. The other advantage is the inlet is on the front instead of the back, depending on what blower you have.
The 2.9 whipple uses a jackshaft.

Gonna mock everything up ahead of time to check alignment of pullies etc. Going to blast and coat all my brackets first. I took my blower all apart and cleaned everything up, just waiting on some orings and I can put it back together. The truck is down to the eng and trans being removed, everything else is off. I need to get the trans and eng out so I can do new brake lines.
