Engine looks great man. What is the reasoning for not doing a jackshaft drive blower?

Because I've had this blower for years and it has more left. Gonna keep running it until I decide what's next.

Someday I may build a properly sized twin setup for good spool and 22ish psi. The more thought I put into it the more I lean that way. That will be down the road though.

I want to put a single turbo on my mustang first.

I haven't followed the topic too much and have probably asked before, but is there any benefit at all in doing a front drive instead of the jackshaft drive?

Well you can spin a jackshaft higher, but problem is they both seem to kinda hit a wall at 22k blower rpm. I'll be able to hit that rpm on my setup. On the front drive like mine you can make the inlet much straighter however the downside is also the drive shaft that's in the inlet. While it's not huge it's still there. When I got mine the jackshaft was another 1k more cost wise, I didn't plan to push it this far so didn't go that route. Looking back I am still not sure it would have been a better route. That's why I did the motor beyond what this blower will do, only thing I didn't do that I may someday wish I did was an LS Next block. But my rods and crank with some 4.125 pistons would make a nice 388.
