I didn't see your comment, but I believe that's where it mounts.

First time wrapping manifolds. I think it's good enough. Zip tie will come off after I find something to replace it with. I found wrapping it while everything was attached was easier and you could tell how much room you have for spark plugs etc.

How I did my bed lift. Not the safest but eh. Also found out the truck only had 4 out of the 8 bed bolts to the frame.

This thing was barely held together.

Looks like another filter broke off and is sitting in the tank with some plastic pieces. Of course truck broke with a full tank of gas

Bought a Walbro 450 which he said it already had which was a lie

Got the engine in the truck and all bolted down with the transmission bolted as well by myself when I found this out.

I guess my crank needs a spacer as you can see the flex plate is too close to the back of the block and the torque converter bolts are hitting the oil pan. So now time to take off the transmission and pull the engine out again... Hard to do all this with the truck on jack stands 1 foot of the ground and friends who don't really want to help.

FYI the wastegate is supposed to go before the turbo. It bypasses exhaust flow into the atmosphere or downpipe to control turbine speed and therefore boost.

dont feel bad i got sucked about 17 years ago, ran down to Atlanta from chicago for a 87 silverado rust free truck nice looking was told it has a 383 4 bolt mains built trans with all the goodies short story he lied like you found out the hard way, i built that drive train front to back then the engine went for a 2nd time built it stronger then the trans blew built it again after owning it for 11 years and putting only 200 miles on it in the last two of owning it (something always went wrong) i gave up and sold it! funny thing is truck never gave the next owner a problem lol i guess i finally worked out the bugs and lost my A$$ off but i was honest with him and told him the hole story i guess thats why it tool 11 months to sell lol

it was all my fault i had a feeling when i met the guy he wasnt being honest but living in chicago and seeing a rust free truck in front of me at the time i just paid him and put it on the trailer
