Here are some runout measurements of the axles and brake drum friction surface

Drivers axle:

Think the drums are to blame? I had them turned when I bought them brand new because I read they can be out of round right out of the box, and the guy did say they were slightly off at that time.

Absolutely! Have them cut again if you can or replace.

I just went ahead and bought some new ones. I have to buy new brakes for my DD anyway, so if these don't fix the issue, then I'll have a spare set for the DD at that time.

The driveshaft shop just called and said the shaft is bent. They work with DSS in San Antonio directly so they are sending it back to them. Not sure how that would have happened in less than 1k miles....

I've thoroughly enjoyed following this build thread. What brand is the coolant tank/catch can? Looks really nice coated black.
