May be a silly question but, you are still holding the brake pedal down after you engage the lock right? You are basically using the line lock as a "off" switch for the rear brakes. It won't hold your pressure to the fronts.

I chocked the front, put the rear up in the air and put it in drive, the wheels spin. Engage the line lock which should now be blocking pressure to the rear. Hit the brakes, the rear stops spinning.

Just for giggles, I press the brakes so the rear isnt spinning, engage the line lock which should now be holding the wheels when I let off the pedal. I let off the pedal and they spin.

Acts like the line lock isnt there.

Might be a dumb question but you put it on the main line going back to the tee, right? Not one of the individual brake lines...

I noticed when I have the lock engaged the pedal is MUCH firmer.

Yup, its in the same place yours is. On the frame rail right before the rubber line. How loud is yours? I can hear mine click but it sounds kind of weak.

Edit; should also mention I only hear the click when I turn it on, not off.

80e swap is underway. Had my buddy stop by and help out which made this move pretty quick without any real problems. I work at a snails pace compared to him.

old 4l60e out and next to the new 80e

Trans in (The pictured yoke is not the yoke being used. Only in there to keep crap out of the trans until the shaft goes in.)

Only things left are:

-Wire up the trans
-Run the new cooler lines
-Put the driveshaft together and shorten if needed

Dont really see anything holding this up other than the shaft being too long. If that turns out to be ok I'm hoping to get back on the road next weekend.

Nice! Cross member looks good.

You planning any trips to the track once everything is all buttoned up?

Thanks, I would like to track it a few times but its mainly just a weekend toy. At 12psi if I can get deep into the 12s on street tires and 20s I'd be stoked.
