Looks like the #3 piston came out of the cylinder a bit and kissed the head

Going back to stock. Already sold off a few of the performance stuff. Looking for a replacement motor. Then I have to figure out what the truck is worth on the market here and decide if its worth it to sell it. Already traded my wife's Jetta for an 06 chevy equinox. So the family vehicle is covered. Wish there was a machine shop around here that could just fix my motor vs having to buy another one to swap in

Why does your coolant look like swamp water?

Not sure. There is a crack in the drivers side end tank next to the oil cooler lines. Oil may have gotten into the coolant. I had to top of the overflow tank about once a week. I also put some of the stop leak stuff on the coolant to help seal up the crack. What would cause the piston to make contact with the head? A stretched/broken rod bolt? If so what all needs to be replaced? Piston, rod and bearings of the affected rod? How much would that cost at a machine shop

I would guess you most likely floated the motor since you spin it so damn high.

Floated the motor? Do you mean flooded? If so would t that bend the rod and make it sit deeper in the cylinder? It's flush with the deck like the other pistons.
And I have a single cab now. Lol.
Has anyone used a 2ton engine hoist from harbor freight? It's about my only option since I don't have the extra 300 for a name brand one. I'm using one of their 6ton bottle jacks and its awesome. But the engine hoist is a little more scary. I have a coupon and can get it for 130 shipped. Thanks

No.. I mean floated the motor. The valves probably floated and contacted the piston
