More parts came in today. I ordered a new set of plug wires so i can shorten them. The previous set i had were the Taylor 409 Races series. Come to find out they carry a 330 Ohm per foot resistance. The new set are Taylor ThunderVolt 50 10.4mm Spark Plug Wires they carry a 40 Ohm per foot resistance. I have no clue on the differences but whatever. The thing i like about these wires is they accept the factory metal spark plug heat shields.
I had to shorten them about 1.5-2.0 inches to make them fit the way i wanted. Below is the before and after.

Here is the resistance measurement, 24 Ohm not too shabby!

Here is what they look like installed. From left to right. Stock GTO wire, stock taylor wire, next two are the shorten taylor wire.

Working on the turbo side plug wires. Tons of heat protection. Maybe a bit overkill but oh well.
Standard wire

Boot cut off

New end crimped into the wire. Also i added a little heat shrink to the wire to help get it through the new boot

New boot installed along with some DEI heat shrink to help secure the new boot. Since these are 10mm wires it is really hard to get it into the boot. Some WD40 helps but sometimes the outer cover wrinkles a little bit.

More DEI heat shielding added to the wire

More DEI heat shrink added to the new wire.

This is what the roll of heat shrink looks like

Wires installed. Hopefully i will not ever have to worry about burning the wire.
