Talking 2000 RCSB "budget" complete build

Guess it's time to start a build thread... I bought this truck brand new in late 99 and it has been a good one. The 4L60E finally let go, so being the gear head I am we decided to do a complete build. I hope to have everything done by the first of the year. I know that is a long time, but I work a ton of hours and have limited time/funds, so I think that is a realistic goal.

The current set up:

2000 RCSB
2/4 drop (hanger/shackle and shitty belltech spindles)
Hotchkis sway bar front & rear
20x9.5 wheels that DON'T tuck
5.3/4L60E (Got ripped out today)
224 cam
Volant intake with ram air option
HD Hood
JBA shorty headers (now for sale)
Roll pan
Escalade cluster

The not so budget friendly plan:

LQ9 with 5.3 stage 2.5 PRC heads and a huge cam (hope I don't have ptv issues)
Edelbrock LS XT intake & 90mm throttle body
8.1 truck injectors - hopefully enough
LPP lt's & ORY
GTO T-56
Pro-5.O shifter
LS7 clutch & flywheel
4.88 gears & TrueTrac
Welded axle tubes
03-06 full console
Double Din conversion
Innovate XD-16 Wideband & Interceptor Scan Guage
4/6 drop - getting rid of belltech spindles and getting my turning radius back!
C-Notch
Upgraded brakes of some kind - maybe 05+ suv
Walbro 255
SS front bumper cover
Paintable front grill with logo delete
Fully shaved and complete paint job!!!

I'm sure I forgot to list a few things, but I have a pile of parts and honestly don't remember everything I have bought so far. lol

Feel free to comment or give suggestions!!!

It started out as a h/c swap on the 5.3, but I found a deal on the 6.0 and decided to do a full build. That is why the engine was already tore down and has one shiny head. lol

I already have most all the parts, except the suspension stuff. The 6.0 is at the machine shop now getting all the block work and balancing done. I should have it back in a week or two so I can start building the short block.

Nice build. Nice shop setup also.

Are you set on those heads and intake? I'd also look at some 1-7/8" primary LTs. But they are pretty proud of those, as Im sure you know.

I know there are better options out there for heads/intake, but I already have the prc's and lsxt... I bought the heads with the intent of putting them on the 5.3, and got a sweet deal on the intake shortly after they came out. So I'm just gonna run them instead of taking it in the shorts selling them and spending more to replace with something else. Plus I like the way the edelbrock looks!
