In case you crash or flip your car or whatever, the emergency personnel need to be able to get access to you. and without a door handle it complicates things for them so as far as I understand it that's why you can't run at a track with shaved handles.

Exactly what I was thinking... I actually happen to have a few window nets laying around from our old dirt track cars... Don't think I want to mount one on the truck though. lol

Didn't get too much done this weekend... Didn't help that I had to work today. The c-notch is completely welded in, and the walbro is installed. Also, I picked up a set of DJM upper control arms for $50 this afternoon!
Should be getting my stuff back from the machine shop this week, so we hope to start building the motor next week. My PRC heads cc'd at 63.5 and we ordered flat top pistons, which will put me right about 11:1 compression...

Yeah, I got a few things done. Mostly just little stuff... nothin picture worthy. Almost done putting the TrueTrac and gears together - need to figure out the shimming. Also got the new e-brakes assembled on the backing plates and my new suv rotors came in. Gonna hit up the junk yard this weekend for some rebuildable calipers.
