Congrats! It looks awesome.

By the way did you sell the 2007? I see you have a new tundra in your sig.

I originally didnt know what was going to happen with the old truck, i found the 07 and thought it was very clean, and wanted to mod it more. Reality was when i brought it home, it was too clean. I ended buying the red truck back for 400 dollars, the engine, trans, interior, bed, rearend, etc was still good to go, along with most of the turbo kit. I picked up that gmc for 4k, and decided to just make a weekend fun truck out of it. Now I had 2 single cab trucks, and neither would be good for family time, pulling my trailer, or driving every day. I needed a crew cab again, so I started looking. I am die hard GM, but I couldnt find what I wanted for what I was willing to spend with new 14+ GM trucks. I looked and looked, but most wouldnt budge on price for me. My wife has a 02 trd Sequoia, in 200,000 miles, its had oil changes and timing belts, and thats it. I decided to go look at a tundra, and really the older ones were damn ugly. I like the body changes they made, and interior changes. The ride is much better, and the powertrain has proven itself well since 07. This was my first brand new vechicle, and I got for 33k. fully loaded 15 crew max, xp edition, came with 20's, bfgs, spray in bedliner, bed rail system, tinted windows, camera, etc. for the money it just had more than the GM. The 5.7 is pretty strong, especially with the 4.30 gears that come standard, and im averaging 19 mpg, not the best, but im fine with that for such a big truck. I will give it shot and see how it holds up. It will get a 3" leveling kit and stay stock, enough grunt for family chores, and have the gmc for fun.

Wow , just read your build and love what you've been doing. Of course I'm kinda partial to RED. lol I started my plan with a 4.3 V6. Ended up with a little bit more cam , shorty headers, 4.10's in the back with cal tracs and slicks running 14.50 at 98 mph. haha. Of course being from the Old school, that wasn't fast enough..........( I'm 66 years old.) So it progressed to a 6.0 bored and stroked to 415 c.i. with a 250 shot of NOS. Ran a best of 10.28 @ 133. Had a NOS back fire and toasted my piston and rings. My fault , had a wire come loose on fuel solenoid. Now its going a step farther LSX block and F1X pro Charger. and more weight taken off, doing a tube frame. Should weigh in around 3100 lbs
Well didn't mean to steal your thread. Really like what your doing and wish I had the abilities you and others here do. Great looking pickup.

Been a little while since ive posted. Truck has been down for a little while. the truck made it into 11s with 1.8 60ft, non boost launch, and shift flare out the *** lol. 4l80e swap going down, picked one up, decided to have it gone through before putting it in, had a PTC 3500 converter speced out for it, its being built, got the hydroboost conversion done, 05+ front brake conversion, misc brackets, tow hooks, etc gone. AC was deleted when the whole crash went down, so i pulled the dash, and removed the ac/heater box etc from the dash. Goal is to have a trans that shifts, brakes that hold, and leave under boost. I also did qa1s up front, and going with ranchos out back.

I might be crazy, but I feel the truck had 11.6s in it, 60ft need improvement, and I was letting off 2-3 times before. my goal is 11.3s with the 70mm at 12lbs. last few passes were about 10.5lbs down the track spiking to 12 on shifts.

All back together, made a little ac/heat delete plate.
