I hear ya and never know I might go back to that being thats how I originally wanted it. Like you said never really seen too many setups like that which is why I wanted to do it like that in the first place. Will see what happens...

Like I've mentioned before, everything is super common on the Internet. Just like how everyone runs 10s on junkyard motors. Yet when you go to the track you see nothing.

Well been busy with work but did manage to get a few little things done. Got the oil drain done for the passenger side turbo, fixed the issue I had with the shifter not hitting every gear in the 4l80e. That was a simple fix just needed to swap the shift mechanism in the column and was good to go about 45 min later. Got that all buttoned up and one less thing to finish. Also got blow off valves welded to the intake tube, and started working on the lines for that. Fans came in so gotta draw up a template to have the shroud cutout so I can get those mounted and done with. I do have to cut the radiator cap and re weld it off to the side so it fits under the radiator support but thats no biggie. Getting more and more parts in the mail so slowly getting it finished up. Shooting to have it fired off some time this month to make it to a local dyno event next month.

Hmm I wonder if that shifter mechanism deal is why some of the 80e swaps I have done dont fall into the cluster range exactly...how much was that swap and was it just the cam or the whole thing?

Paid I think $42 shipped for the new GM shifter mechanism. Really it's just the detent part but it only comes with the shifter mechanism not seperate so have to order the whole thing. Everything else is the same. Imagine if you wanted to spare the time you could just grind your stock one to work and that would work too but at the time I wasn't sure of the differences and just ordered all new 4 speed stuff.
Best way to order by far is get the part number from GMPartsDirect.com and search it on eBay. Tons of GM Dealerships sell brand new GM OEM parts usually with free shipping for cheap. Everything I ordered has all come in brand new GM bags like you get if you got them over the counter at a GM dealership...

Yea Ive ordered plenty of stuff like that before. I wonder what changes need to be made for the pattern to work correctly. I dont suppose you took a picture of them sitting on top of each other did you?
