I been running a deleted coolant tank for a few years now and I have yet to have any kind of issue. I live here in South Texas so 100+ degree weather is very common and never even got close to overheating even when racing. Saves a lot of space... I believe I posted what parts I uswed in one of the older posts would have to go back and check but very easy to do.
I saw the list somwhere back there. Going to order the parts and give it a shot. Thanks

This excites me in ways that kinda scares me.

Just wanted to ask. Isn't there a low fluid sensor in the coolant tank. If there is what did you do for that.

We are talking 1500s here... none of the GMT900 (1500) trucks I have worked on have had this sensor.

Yea I know you guys are talking about 1500s that's just odd that they don't have them.

Where did you end up mounting the tank? I dont see it in later picture's. Do you happen to know if the tank can be mounted horizontally or does it have to be vertical to work correctly? Thinking of taking it out of the engine bay unless it has to be close to the radiator. Thanks for helping.

You talking about the expansion tank or the overflow tank? I deleted the expansion tank and no need to run one the way I have mine setup. An overflow tank is only used to catch any overflow that comes out of the radiator cap when it over heats. I have yet to have my truck over heat or ever have even with the old setup so I don't have one mounted.

yes its a recirculating/overflow tank. So I did not know if it would work correctly depending on how its mounted. Guessing yours is not setup to recirculate? You just drain it once in a while?
