Default Purging into an exhaust pipe

I asked this on Tech too ... I wanna see what kind of response I get here.

Thoughts????

Just like the title says, run a steel line from the purge solenoid to the exhaust pipe.

Think it would be effective and not be noticable by anyone?

you know I have an NX kit but no purge... I've been pondering getting one to ensure more consistant track times. I think thats a cool thought... stealth like. You would make sure to by-pass the O2s and cats though right? If you have them that is.

Ive been wondering if I spray it down at the radiator if it'll moderately help cool it and hide the purge as well.

I've thought about it helping cooling, and decided that it wouldn't be of any benefit there unless there was a 10 second or better purge.

N2O by its self is relatively inert. In fact it needs a fair amount of energy to break the N=O and the O=O bonds (and there is a resonant structure that has different bond arrangements) Depending where you run it, the farther the better, I dont think it will have any effect. In saying that, it has to be after the O2 sensor.

Just my thoughts...

This sounds like a great way to blow some **** up. Nitrous breaks down around 550F, your cat burns at over 600F. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that spraying a combustion enhancer in an area with unburnt fuel is not a good idea.

Paging Mr. Darwin, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

Just a thought, how about purging it through the throttle body coolant passage, asuming that you've done the TB by-pass. It would give the TB a heck of a chil just prior to the run.

And if there are no catalytic converters? Would that make your post null and void?
