Default Nitrous cam ????

Looking for a cam that is goin to respond well to nitrous, planning on spraying over 200 on a stock bottom end 6.0 with ARP rod bolts. Any suggestions??

My suggestion: Buy another motor for when that one goes you'll have a spare!

Most cams will work with nitrous, I wouldnt go overboard on the duration though.

just stick with the ls6 cam...or use the "search" feature.

but you should start saving for a new engine or buy stock in jb weld.

^^^ x2 no need in putting a "nitrious" cam in it unless your motor is going to live on n2o which it wont so rreally aint no need in it.

I didn't search the whole forum but I did search this one. I didn't really see the answer I was looking for. I read somewhere that nitrous favors a wide split. I'm just trying to get the most out of my setup on the track.

Sorry I forgot to mention, that this isn't my truck. It's for a friend of mine, the truck in my sig burnt to the ground in a wreck.

222-224/228-230 .600 114-116

somewhere in those ranges. but seriously...200 shot is going to be more carnage than fun.

ok i been searching for a bit, didnt search hard but searched enough, anyone know or knows who that has pushed the limits on nitrous on a stock short block? appearantly either i am not searching the right criteria or what but i yet to find what i am looking for and thats how much nitrous a stock short block can handle

reason i am now asking is cause i am fixing to put a 150 shot on my setup but also i will go up to a 200 shot and maybe a tad more through a direct port setup, 150 being off the plate then going direct port

i seen the carnage pics of rear ends driveshafts and such but cant seem to find anything about a motor blowing the fug up? i did see a number 7 piston melt down but that also could have been a tuning issue who knows i am just currious thats all.

Youll be fine on a 200.. mine ran 175 for a while. tune has to be dead on, no det. nitrous likes any cam with a split duration. if it were me id run 232-236 some were around that
