Default New member in Kuwait

Hi everyone,

New member currently living and working on Kuwait.
Can't believe the wealth of knowledge on here!

I just recently bought a 2008 black on black Yukon Denali.
It is my first ownership experience with a GMC truck and so far it's been great.

Mods so far have been cosmetic and chiefly about blacking out the truck (picture below.

First round of power mods decided upon are:
1- Magnecor plug wires (bought)
2- AEM CAI with non-oiled air filter (bought)
3- ARH 1 7/8 headers and y-pipe (trying to source as I want ceramic coating)
4- Mast Motorsports L99/L92 HO Cam Duration 224/238 Lift .578/.593 Lobe angle 115 (waiting for an offer from Mast)
5- Black Bear Autocal ECU and TCU tune (bought)

Also considering adding a small 75 nitrous shot while I budget up for a Prodrive SC.

If you guys have any advice/comments on the above, it is very much welcomed and appreciated.

I do have a couple of questions though:
1- Do you guys think I would need to upgrade the pushrods just to be safe and if so, which ones?
2- I know that the 1 7/8 headers make their power up top and not necessarily down low. If I get the catted y-pipe, will that help the power down low due to retaining some back pressure or is it a case of near as makes no difference and I should just go catless (no emissions regulations in Kuwait!!!!)

Anyhow, here are some pictures for you enjoyment...

Very nice ride and welcome! When I think Kuwait, the name usually has a negative connotation but it looks quite clean/nice in the background of those pictures!

Thanks. I couldn't agree more! You really need a lot of dedication for black, most especially in a dusty environment.

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, there are many many places around the world that stir up negative images in one's mind, probably due to negative media coverage at some point or another.
Kuwait is mostly very clean and organized. A lot of money is spent on infrastructure and landscaping each year.
I can think of many worse places to live!

That is not entirely true. The biggest class in Kuwait is the middle class.
Granted, there a class of people with ridiculous wealth, but most people lead a comfortable life.
