Hola! Yall don't give this guy from LA a hard time. Do some searching and if you go that low on an 06 or prior you will want to do a notch. Do a flip kit. Cheap and easy.

Being from Lower Alabama myself I know exactly where he is from and the truck performance community in Andalusia is probably as lacking as it is in Enterprise or Opp . The best advice is do a lot of reading and searching. The stickies in the drive train section are priceless. Good luck and post up some pics!!

welcome to pt. ill assume its for the 09 rcsb you have listed under your screen name.
do mcguaphy & belltech.
i would do mcg flip kit for the rear with belltech street perfomance drop shocks.
mcg spindles and belltech drop struts set a 2" to get 4" up front.
being that its a single cab you may bottom out less but none the less youll hate it when you do bottom out. so i would recommend either a c-notch, helper bags, or air shocks.

I would say it would be in your best interest to notch it. On my old truck I went through DJM for a notch and flip kit, and plan on doing the same for the current truck. Also, welcome! Post up some pics and info on your truck, especially post drop pics

I would go with the flip notch kit below because it is very well engineered and it will accept helper bags with no major mods.
Belltech Sport Trucks 6616 - Belltech Sport Trucks Rear Flip Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com

crud that is not the right kit.
The notch looks like the one in the pic below and has the helper bag mount built into it.

If your truck is a GMT900 chassis (NNBS), you won't need to c-notch it for a 4/7. You will have to cut off the bracket for the bump stop though. It's welded to the frame on all 4 sides, if you're good with a cutoff wheel it takes about 30 minutes per side. Once that's gone, you have all kinds of clearance between the axle and the frame. It actually looks like the diff is closer to the bed floor than the axle is to the frame.
