Default A Couple Dyno Runs...

Nothing spectacular. Just a couple pulls with the 4.8L. It's the first time it's been on a dyno, and it was pretty cool.

First pull
Second pull

Sorry about the commentary on the first pull lol. I forgot to push the stop button.

I got a print-out on the runs and it's kinda confusing to me. Maybe someone could explain my numbers to me...

The first run I had a Max power at 303.28, but my max torque is at 537???
The second run is way lower at 237 and 254. So I dunno. I'm new on the dyno and maybe someone could clarify

what gear did they do the pulls in?
On the first pull it sounded like it dropped back into first or something then shifted....that would explain the crazy torque spike.
but i'm just tossing out an idea here.

Yeah that's what I was thinkin. He didn't do the pull right. I think ima go back on Monday and have him re-do it.

It kinda sux cuz the guy that was doing it the whole time I was there was busy when it came my turn. So the guy who was strapping everything down did my runs.

I should've asked which gear it was in. It looks to me like 2nd so I doubt I got any accurate numbers.

alaways ro your pulls in 3rd with an auto, to give you a 1:1 ratio, and accurate numbers..... and try to pull to around 6K rpms, to give yourself max peak power.... makes for good bragging rights, and you can see where you need to shift at.

You want to pull in third, but be advised that spinning the driveshaft to 140 mph can cause it to break.
