Anyone in here got any suggestions on what all I'll need to get a gen 111 5.3 n 60E in a 99-01 S-10 I can get a good deal on one and have an extra 5.3 layin around to throw in how complicated would it be to get this setup right.

 

conversion motor mounts, conversion headers, bigger radiator(corvette rad works good), electric fans, bigger fuel pump depending on hp goals. all this can be had from a few differant places. and there is a place that makes plug and play wireing harnesses so ur factory guages will all work if your not real handy with that stuff. pm me for details if your interested as the site isnt a pt.net sponsor and i dont want an *** chewin im workin on a 98 dimer as we speak, but im goin t56

 

I'll save you the headache of building one....Buy mine. Its a 2000 S10 Xtreme with a 5.3 and 60E. Mechanically perfect, just needs cosmetic finishes like paint for the tailgate and air dam. Its in the FOR SALE forum. I'm looking to get a 4x4 for my next project.

Shouldn't be a big problem. You'll need:

 

5.3 + s10 = lots of fun!!! i had a 99 s10 with a 5.3/4l60e combo and it was a blast to drive.

 

go onto the s10forum and check the "LSx Section" and read up on the stickies... tons of info on every aspect of the swap you'll need to know.

 

Those trucks are sick with a 5.3 in 'em.
