I had the same cam installed on my 5.3 today. I had to take the truck home with one foot on the gas and the other on the brake because it doesn't idle worth a damn without tuning. The truck is parked right now until my nelson retuned computer arrives tuesday. I love the new sound, it sound like a freaking big block.

thats why dyno tunes come in handy because you take it down to get it retuned and they will have it done for you right before you leave, cam should be alot of though i look proward to getting similar

I will post and let you guys know how Nelson does on the first try. Then I will probably dyno it and send him the data for a touch up tune after that. Good thing that retunes are free.

i had the same problem with the idling on my truck. i have had mine tuned twice. we still got a little more tuning to do but my tuner just started out and he is doing a great job. it still tries to shut off sometimes when coming to a stop but we will fix that in a couple weeks.

Ive put similar cams (some bigger some smaller) in a few engines (mostly 5.3's) and havent had any p/v clerance issues.
