if you dont know my setup right now its basicly 5.3 with tsp220 cam comp 918s hardend pushrods stock DOD lifters 30k on cam and 65 on motor ...

also fully bolt on and tuned by wheatley


truck is still my DD and work truck AHHA


thinking about some heads ..

what do you guys think about these OR tell me witch direction to go ....

better for me to have MY 243s ported or just buy some already done ..

edit .. and i plan on going bigger with the cam ... and finally taking out the dod lifters ...

You can port the 243's and ill work great for sure 12's all day n/a....

 

i would give richard @ wcch a call and check out what he has in store for u.. since ull be changing the heads.. id upgrade to a bigger cam get one spec'd by ed curtis or pat-G

12s? i dont think so..

 

Ive seen 5.3's running 12's with ported heads it depend's on the set up u are running wei......

 

I agree 100% He has some nice StageI 5.3 heads that showed nice dyno gains on tdrumm's truck

bluecajun's rcsb ran 12's with a TR220 and no head work...good tuning and the proper setup, like you mentioned, make all the difference

Nah, bluecajun ran that N/A. Truck had a mean 60' time...

 

well went to the track couple weeks went 13.2 with 1.9 60 ft ... so with the heads should be 12s for sure

 

how can i get a hold if this richard that you speak of ...
