243s are a badass head, you get them ported right, and a cam to match, you'll deffinitely be in the 12s

then if you really wanna spend money think about an intake, but all means decide on intake first cause it'll compliment the other parts

honestly i would keep them stock 243s and work on your setup some
More stall or some gear cut down the 60foots it will go 12s

As much roll racing you do your worried about a track number..WHY..
Just a number/bragging rights but screw that catch them on the street
Run low 13s and run with 12 sec cars on the street because of your trap speed

Get your heads worked over and get a bigger cam to match them. And get some LS7 lifters for christ sake before one of yours goes boom.

Or like Stewart said get a 6.0 or 6.2l

Youre going to spend 1500+ for a good set of heads and new cam, thats a long ways towards a L92 that you can always mod later on as money allows. Me personally I like getting the big expense out of the way first then add the little things as I go, but Im a bit impatient for the big stuff
