After reading with this I'd agree with most of it...
1. 220 220 112cam
2.3000 stall
3. I'd do tfs 205 heads cnc by tea with yella Terra 1.7 shaft mount rokers. ( there a little more expensive but you will love them! Remember your heads are basically the center point of your build on a n/a vehicle! They will make massive amounts of torque and hp over.... I'd say any other head on a 5.3. Less than 5 grand!
4. Stock maf, stock intake, stock timming chain
5. Shanner ported stock tb ( I noticed a huge seat of the pants gain)
6. Whatever long tubes you find cheap... Pacesetter?
7. Cut out the cats and get it tunned!!!
8. Start savng for a tranny rebuild lol

Thanks! Yeah i love TFS's stuff, But In the Pontiac Scene where i come from My Partner is one of the All Time Great Head Porters for Pontiacs,BBC's,SBF and we are working out details to bring out another CNC Ported 5.3 Head, He Is Very Good at keeping Intake port volume down while getting Crazy Flow out of any head he touch's, I'm sending him my 862's right now and he is working with me to come up with a Program for them so we'll see how it goes But i do plan on a Back to Back Dyno session one with Stock heads, other with His, And 1Bear Great Info on the Timing set deal, I like the factory design i just know what its like to try and degree a cam with No adjustability thats all, I have heard of the Double roller sets not clearing the factory timing cover? is this true and My stock Oil pump has always Worked Mint 45psi idle 50+ at rpm, why do sooo many change to a Different pump?

Really, most people do go with either a stock pump or a ported version of a stock pump. Until fairly recently, there were no true aftermarket pumps available. As you’re accustom to other engine designs and the availability of some parts, I'm sure you have come in contact with the offset bushings available for degree-ing a camshaft. You could just drill out the alignment pin hole in the cam gear to install whatever bushing you need.

I Ported and Pollished the Oil Pump today, it was virtually new at 18K miles so i shimmed,Ported,Pollished and put it back together, should work much better now, I wanted to show one of my Truck intakes i've Cut open to fully port and pollish, i did a bunch of work i believe will pay off but we'll do a back to back to see if it was worth the work, Someone will know i'm crazy after this deal LOL But hey i don't have 1100$ for a LSXRT!
