Well I just coudn't resist going to the track after the gears and third tune. I think I even set a track record. With all the mods on the sig my time slip is as follows...

60ft--2.69
330ft--7.71
1/8--10.55 @ 71mph
1000ft--13.53
1/4--16.12 @ 87.14

All of this was on a 100 shot. Without the nitrous I ran a 17.85 @ 78.

I know the nitrous isn't slowing me down so can my tune be that far off after the third try by nelson? I was running those times when I was stock. I guess I am going to have to visit nelson cause my truck should be a lot faster after all the mods I've done.

why in your sig does it say 14.48? is tha before your tune and cam? that 60' time is awful though....especially for a TT3000. theres no reason to start about your 1320....something HAS to be wrong. especially with the no2 running you should be well into the 13's. maybe you need some LT's with that increased exhaust. non-split duration isnt exaclty best with no2 but if its only once in a while nothing should be a problem. certainly not in the 16's

I'm having a very similar issue!!!!!

1st. Was your TT3000 stalling higher before? I did the cam/tc swap at the same time so I dont have before and after time slips but my TT3000 only stalled to 2500/2600rpms. I have a modified replacement from Yank going in on Tues thanks to Dave @ Yank. We'll see if my stall speed increases a bit.
Second thing is I too lost a lot of low end torque with this cam. As GreenTahoeasked
did you have Nelson add some timing in the low areas? I did this on my truck and it was a HUGE difference. I was only able to do it when I swapped cams as you did.
I am going to have my tuner take another look at what's going on during my full-throttle launch. It has been suggested that some timing might be being pulled when under WOT at launch. Seems like I can spin them hard under partial throttle better than full? You too?
Your time slip SUCKS worse than mine for our mods, especially you with the n2o. Somthing is definately wrong!!

am I reading that correctly? 17.85 @ 78mph? Is that engine running on all 8 cylinders?

Yeah it does feel like **** when you put 1600 bucks into your truck and end up making it slower than stock. Before the cam is when I ran the 14.48 1/4 mile. Also, the converter used to stall to 3000 rpm and now it only does 2000, I cant even break the tires loose at all. I think its something to do with my idle, it smells alot like gas and maybe the computer pulls timing or something. I don't think nelson could fix this over the mail and I will end up going to his shop for a tune.

DAMN............. there is something very wrong. I dont know how Nelson could be that far off. Is it possible that the cam is degree'd incorrectly and you are causing some damage? What all has been done since your last visit to the track when you ran the 14.4? You need to get with someone that has HPTuners and get some logs. Log your 02's, timing advance, KR, Sounds like the shift points and everything are screwed. I wouldnt think a 16 second time slip with a 100 shot would be possible on a BMX. I could blast my cat in the *** with nitrous and it would make it across a 1/4 faster than that.

Wow, something is way wrong. Try to get it dyno tuned by him, it should fix the problem. I don't see how he would be off by that much. I will be going to get a dyno tune from him in a month or so (whenever the stall comes in) so if you want to ride up there together and get them tuned just let me know. Pm me if you are interested and I will let him know that you are going up there too. I would definately call and let him know that it was running like that either way.

if you are smelling gas when it idles your mixture is far too rich which is probably among a slew of things that are off key. im sure no one thing will be the answer to this ungodly 1/4 time. definitly skip the mail frenzie and actually go to the shop. by the time he would end up getting ALL this stuff right you probably would have paid enough postage to fill your tank and drive there. (not saying nelson cant do it, just saying there has to be an army worth of PCM issue working against him)
