Default LS1 questions

I found what I believe is a pretty decent deal on a low mile 5.7 LS1 shortblock this week. Going to look at it probably Wed.

Couple of questions for you guys. I'd like to reuse some parts from my truck in order to save some money. Currently the truck has a 4.8 in it. Can I reuse my truck intake on the LS1 along with all the truck assessories? I figure my truck has a bigger oil pan correct? Is there a difference in the oil pumps between the two?

Thanks guys.

Your truck parts should bolt right on.

Everything from your 4.8 will bolt directly onto the LS1.

Thanks guys.

Hey Zick, ever ran your truck? I curious what type of times I can expect. I plan to do basically the mods you've got except bigger stall. My truck is a RCSB 2 wheel drive. Are the bigger injectors a must?

Never made it to the tracks yet, hopefully this spring.
With my setup I was pushing 90% on my stock 24lb injectors and I'm planning on more so I got a good deal on 31lb injectors off ebay I couldn't pass up.

If your talking about putting 4.8 piston into the LS1 it won't work. The bore is larger on the LS1 than the 4.8/5.3 blocks. The pistons are too small.
