Would it help if i told you that according to our prints, it is 3.000 from the very end of the post to the step on the flange. Feel Free to hit me back if you need more information. -Adam @ Callies

the reason i was asking this was because i bought an lq4 and the crank sticks out a little bit and i needed to know about how much does the short crank sticks out that will fit a 60e behind it. i saw some post that was stating that 99-00 cranks were longer and the 60e wouldn't work with it.

The difference in crank lengths at the rear of the crank is 3mm. When you spot a long crank you will know it, as the short model just protudes past the seal, while the long crank protrudes about 5/8" past the seal. Here are a couple of bad pictures to give you an idea about what your looking at.

Take a look at this article http://www.enginebuildermag.com/Arti...ankshafts.aspx.
Also, this website http://www.enginebuildermag.com has other excellent reference information on stock engines.

i cant really see the difference in the picture, but i see that the one with the aluminum heads has the shorter crank. so if it has the aluminum heads it should have the shorter crank? correct me if im wrong.

As long as the heads were factory installed, that is correct.
