headers and intake manifold ?

I do not know about the long tubes.
Here's a good read on the truck intake.

There are plenty of aftermarket intakes that make gobs of high end horsepower, but none better for a truck, than the truck's. The LS6 intake is said to keep the low speed torque right where the truck manifold makes it as well with an increase in upper RPM power but at a loss of low speed throttle response and fuel efficiency. Best suggestion I could make would be to keep the truck manifold and have the Tahoe tuned to recognize the exhaust modification and get rid of the stock GM "generic" tune. Our 2002 Suburban was averaging 17-18mpg on the highway consistently for years and after we had it tuned there was a noticeable increase in power across the usable RPM band, but 22mpg highway! We drove it 530 miles on 1 tank of gas.

Would this hold true for the 02 ECSB? I have a list of mods, including tune.

All truck intakes are the same. The only difference I am aware of is in '02 GM decided to delete the EGR from the intake and made them come from the factory with a plug in the EGR hole...nothing to do with performance really.
