Default which heads for my 6.0 SSS

trying to do a little research for my next mod. looking for some advice on which heads would work w/ my current set up. right now i have 220/224 .581 112 comp cam, lts, stock truck intake and tbtc. truck sees limited track time, really my DD. so im looking to make power through low and mid range mostly. any advice would be helpful. should i have my stock 317s P&P, go to 243s??? or some darts??? BUDGET is the key word here. thanks in advance Mark

We have the AEM Brute Force Sport longtubes on both the SSS and the Tahoe and love them. The SSS has the LS6 cam with a blower and the Tahoe has a 206/212 115LSA.

I've got WCCH stageII 6.0l heads, and like them so far. They flow pretty much the same as more expensive heads, and have all the performance upgrades you would need, Patriot dual springs, valves and some other stuff I can't think.

I'd have your stock heads milled, port matched, polished exhaust and a nice bowl job in the chambers. You're looking at $300-400 while using the heads you have. If you can't afford the down time, buy another set of junkyard 317's and take those to the machine shop for work instead, then sell your current 317's after you've finished. If anything during the buy and sell process, you may even come out ahead if you find the right buyer or snag a good deal on the 317's you buy.

i was hoping someone would chime in about this. does anyone know performance difference between "worked" stock heads and aftermarket??? ive heard of putting on 243 for the increased compression??? i know partiot and dart are some of the inexpensive heads are they that much better than a "worked" stock head or 243?? also id like to keep my stock truck intake so i dont want heads that need more airflow than it can provide.

This mod has been on my mind since I got my truck but after researching the forum and speaking with the guys at WCCH. I would only get heads from them Since they have great customer service and know their products. Sponsor to the right>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

oh i agree. if i decide to purchase a new set of heads i will def. go w/ wcch. im just trying to find out what the performance diff. between "worked" stock heads and a set of wcch heads. will it be worth the extra $$$ on a DD.

WCCH 6.0l stage II heads are stock worked heads. They have a core charge for your stock heads.
