headers and intake manifold ?
Hello everyone
I own a 2007 tahoe with the 5.3l and i was wondering if anyone has found a manufacture that makes long tubes for this model yet. I also would like to know if there are any intake manifolds that will fit this engine that is better than stock the stock one. My goal is to increase performance and try to gain more mpg. Thanks for any help |

Thanks for any help Here's a good read on the truck intake. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=392089 https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...=357424&page=3 There are plenty of aftermarket intakes that make gobs of high end horsepower, but none better for a truck, than the truck's. The LS6 intake is said to keep the low speed torque right where the truck manifold makes it as well with an increase in upper RPM power but at a loss of low speed throttle response and fuel efficiency. Best suggestion I could make would be to keep the truck manifold and have the Tahoe tuned to recognize the exhaust modification and get rid of the stock GM "generic" tune. Our 2002 Suburban was averaging 17-18mpg on the highway consistently for years and after we had it tuned there was a noticeable increase in power across the usable RPM band, but 22mpg highway! We drove it 530 miles on 1 tank of gas. |
get a tune your gain plenty of hp and more mpg...click on the sponcer links on the right
