Hello everyone
I own a 2007 tahoe with the 5.3l and i was wondering if anyone has found a manufacture that makes long tubes for this model yet.
I also would like to know if there are any intake manifolds that will fit this engine that is better than stock the stock one.
My goal is to increase performance and try to gain more mpg.

There are plenty of aftermarket intakes that make gobs of high end horsepower, but none better for a truck, than the truck's. The LS6 intake is said to keep the low speed torque right where the truck manifold makes it as well with an increase in upper RPM power but at a loss of low speed throttle response and fuel efficiency. Best suggestion I could make would be to keep the truck manifold and have the Tahoe tuned to recognize the exhaust modification and get rid of the stock GM "generic" tune. Our 2002 Suburban was averaging 17-18mpg on the highway consistently for years and after we had it tuned there was a noticeable increase in power across the usable RPM band, but 22mpg highway! We drove it 530 miles on 1 tank of gas.

Okay, Does anyone know of a place in Dallas or Fort Wort that can tune it for me?
Also do i have to buy a stand alone system or can they just use the stock ecu??

They hook a laptop up to your existing hardware and go to town plugging away at empty data fields with their programs. Sometimes the more expensive tunes will use a Dyno to help with their programming, others just sit in the truck and allow the computer to tune itself, overwriting GM's stock generic economy tune that they give EVERY truck. No two engines are alike, so a generic tune hurts most engines.

What engine RPO do you have?? Is your engine a DOD. I would be really curious to find out more aswell. I have a LMG DOD engine that I would like to tune and cam..
