I have run a little lucas fuel treatment through it maybe once on this motor.If i did it at all on this motor can't recall.
The motor itself has 17k miles on it by the way.

if you will look at the pics of grippys motor you will see that it is not too far off from yours. Just a mixture of shitty gas and federal additives. I would not sweat it, clean your deck surface and head surface....give those pistons some elbow grease and put that ***** back together.

What did he use to clean everything up with? The antifreeze from taking the heads off seemed to do decent haha.

off the top of my head I do not remember.....I know there are 3 meeeeeeelion pages of pretty good data in his engine build thread. If I had the patience tonight I would look for ya, but I am 6 into a 12ver

I believe Grippy used WD-40 and a scotch bright pad to clean them.
