Default Guys with low gears and 30" or smaller tires. What CAM do you run??

I'm trying to figure out what type of combos you guys that run low gears and small tires are using. Here is the situation my truck likes to rev. But it's not too bad with me. I know do to fact of my 4.88 gears and 4k stall I blow by the low end. Truck is plenty fast out the hole. I'm trying to pick a cam for my lq9 that will make me have the right power and for this combo and really wake up once the gears start going. Seems like I'll need something that kicks the power hard at 3000 and up. But still produce good power when finally my converter locks around 2400-2700

What cam combos are some of you people running with similar gears and stall?

Something in the high 23x range would be my guess.

It wouldn't have much of a low end at all but 4000 stall and those gears should be good for that big of a cam. I would call a sponsor to the right and have them spec you one. Curious to see what they say

I really dont need lowend. I really want alot more mid and top end power. And I feel like I need or have a narrower powerband, as to say between 3000-6,500rpms. I mostly hover at 3k all the time if unlocked. But power comes on hard over 4k.

Really confused on the cam. Im just gathering info now to what some other combos are.

Comp Cams XTREME XE-R XER287HR 238/240 .605/.609 112 LSA

RPM range 2800 - 7200

I have a buddy with single cab 6.0 cnc ported/milled 243s ^ this cam

He has 4.56 and 3600 stall truck is scary scary scary haha

He set his mild built 4L60e to shift around 6800-7000 rpms to be "safe" < the thing is going to blow sometime this year I'm predicting

Picking a cam is the most difficult decision but in the end cams that are within the same range of specs as other will pretty much perform the same give or take 5-10 hp which is not going to be that noticeable.

224/228/ .580 114lsa 3600yank 4:30's on 28x10 on 16in rims. ran a 12.9. on stock heads, stock intake stock everything else but bolt ons and injectors...

truck pulled hard 3000-6000rpm wish i would have gone 30x12 on the 16in rims. needed more bite/ more wrinkle and the taller tire woulda helped my top end a tad bit

Ok so from what I gather. I may use a cam that was originally speced for me. Seems like you guys are runing decent size cams.
The 1 if was told to roll was a 228:232 iirc. I will check specs when I get home.
