It appears your problem is heat related since it starts when cold and won't restart when warm. You still need the basics to get your engine running.
It has to crank and still have enough current left over to create spark while turning over. Once you get that far you need fuel and compression to get the desired result: combustion. Start at the key switch and work you way through the process step by step. Key switch, neutral safety switch, starter relay, starter motor. If the motor spins(not just barely cranks over) you need to look for fuel and spark. Compression is way down on the list of possibilities. Your problem appears to be closer to the beginning of the list of things that could go wrong. You need to use the process of elimination. Have some jumpers around to bypass things you suspect as being the cause of the problem

I think I would just replace the starter, its only like 150 bucks, plus, you elimate that problem. If it wasnt the starter u can also sell the old one, or the new one whatever u preferr. Hope you get it going man! Wanna see sum vids!! Sweet truck!!

I had the same problem before. Once my truck got warm, the starter wouldn't even turn it over. I could hear the solenoid trigger but no spin.
I would also do like PappyDan said and check the voltages at the starter when the key is turned. If there is no juice, work your way back, checking voltages as you go.

Truck fixed yet??
I had this same problem with my truck a while back. Checked the starter. Checked the grounds. All were ok. It ended up being the neutral safety switch. The dude who installed my alarm messed it up. I would start my truck when it was cold and drive it somewhere. After turning off the engine and trying to restart it, it wouldnt turn over or anything. I had ALL of the same symptoms you had. As soon as the neutral safety switch was replaced, everything worked out great.
Hope this helps if i am not too late.

Damn Dry Kill you're old school. You're going back to the 50s. Right on. Don't forget to put that thing in neutral or push down the clutch(or both). I learned this while trying to take dads car for a joy ride(before neutral safety switches were invente) long before I was old enough to have a drivers license.
