Default 99 Tahoe - PLEASE HELP!!!

Im sure this has been covered numerous times but I can't find the answer I need.
I've got a 99 Tahoe aka piece of ****. It won't start. It's got a slow crank, I don't hear the fuel pump kick on and it back fires or kickbacks when cranking. It sparks but it's very slow, like "spark" 1 Mississippi "spark"
Here's what I've done to the truck since I've had it, no specific order!! PLEASE HELP!!!!
***I reset the timing
***Installed different pcm than original
***I turned the key on, left it on for 10 minutes 3x, got the security light off and still nothing. I've been jacking with this piece for over a week and just when I thought I was done, this... won't start.
***I replaced engine, was told it was from 97 but had earlier block so I swapped the reluctor wheel and crank sensor onto the new motor.
***All my grounds are hooked up.
***Replaced fuel pump relay
***Charged battery for a few hours, still slow cranks.

Check all of your grounds real well. Back of both heads and on the drivers side oil pan rail. Maybe even try running a battery cable from the neg terminal to the starter housing to make sure it is grounded good. Let us know if that helps the cranking.

a slow crank is a bad battery or bad connections

take the battery out and have it tested before anything else is done

99 Tahoe. So that's the old square body. 5.7 Vortec with distributor and spider injection?

As mentioned, the slow crank is gonna be battery, starter, or the cables.

How old is the battery???

Look at the battery + and ground cables, do you see any corrosion? can you see the copper and is it green or dark colored???

Do you know if the starter is original???

I forgot about this thread... but I got it figured out.
I had an extra starter layin around, put it on, no change. Charged battery, no change... long story short... it had the wrong nuts on the rockers and they all backed off, the valves werent opening all the way and it was out of time!!!
