i would go with a 220/220 cam .. and a 3200 pi stall

Don't waste your time with a 3000 stall. It's not big enough to get you off the line and into the powerband with a nice size cam.
I ahve driven trucks including some of my own with stalls ranging from stock,2600,3000,3200 and 3600 and the stock/2600 feel almost the same and the 3000,3200 and 3600 feel almost the same.
The differance from a 3k to a 3600 on take off is about 100rpms more slip to get moving. Nothing bad enough to force you to understall a truck.
If you really want to make it a "Monster" do it right and don't play around wasting money.

226/226 .588/.588 110 and a 3800 Yank.... That should do the trick

i went with a 224r and 3600 pi and ran a 12.8 in hot weather with my stock 3.73s
