Justin got back to me. He said my knock sensor started going nuts at 5200rpm. Basically when I start getting that noise. So I'm gonna get on those damn push rods today!

7702-1 Comp Cams Adjustable Pushrod Checker

Have you checked your pushrod length instead of guessing or going by what others have used?

Don't guess

I think I would get to checking rockers and springs, I have a 2012 that I did a dod delete, a bigger vvt cam and used ls7 lifters with 7.400 pushrods and mine doesn't have any noise like that....

What would you suggest to check the springs? They all looked ok when I had the cover off yesterday and the rockers did as well. So my next option would be try the proper length push rods

Every cam spec'd with a stock head, LS7 lifters, stock rockers is a 7.425" its not a "guess" it's what Pat G, Geoff @ EPS, texas speed, allen @ futral have all spec'd to keep preload right.
If it was broken springs that noise would be at idle, cruise, wot, hot motor, and cold motor.

I run 7.4 in my 6.2 with milled .020" heads, 7.425" in my dod deleted 5.3

John at tsp shipped out some 7.425s today. He appologized for the screw up and even knew it happened once I gave my info.
I doubted a bad spring...cause they are new with the cam and I thought the sound would be way worse.
