when the noise originally started I was data logging for black bear, so I emailed him the issue, as well as the code info and even a link to the video just to get his thoughts too. I listened to some you tube videos of "pinging" and a couple sounded similar...

well listening to that second video, i got the sound much better and thats a pretty nasty noise for a .025" short push rod isnt it? could it be a really bad detonation? its almost border line a knock
my theory behind it is...its gone when the engine is cold, starts once it gets warm...combine that with a slightly off tune and I could be pre igniting?]

could a bad spark plug cause that? I did drop one of the packs during install...

Im just spouting off random ideas now.

does anybody else on here use EFI LIVE and could check the log?

You are trying to fix a problem with the wrong pushrods. So the preload is wrong on the lifter as it is.

Id get the 7.425" install them, go for a drive.

As far as i know with efi live you can scan KR, if so then you will see the KR spiking up

well I emailed TSP and sent my info/order stuff and hopefully they'll work something out about the wrong push rods cause to flat out order new ones its like $120 without shipping so i'm not happy about that!
but would that .025" really make that kinda noise? and only on 1 maybe 2 cylinders...and cause that lean code?
I dont have an ls1tech account but I spent some time looking at their old threads about push rods to short and none of their sounds match mine...they reference the "sewing machine" a lot and mines not like that!

I hope to hear about the PR's tomorrow from TSP, if not I may just have to order them and worry about refunds/money later

Alright read your whole thread and it does sound like your pushrods are too short after listening to the vids I would just order a set of the 7.425 then see how things change. You just take one step at a time. I would just call and ask tsp explain what they did and tell them you need the 7.425 overnighted to you for there mix up
