UDP pulley kit Questions
#1
I'm looking to get a UDP pulley for my 2008 5.3, but the thing is Ive heard bad things about UDP with lifted trucks and subs which i both have. Ive heard it wont charge the alternator as much as needed, and the last thing i want to do is have a dead battery because my alternator isn't charged. Can anyone for sure say that this will happen. I'd really like one due to the fact that Ive heard decent gains out of them.

I Had a march UD kit on my 4.3 s10 and I used the alternator and crank kit. Never had an issue. Charged perfect. However....at idle the steering was a touch stiffer but even at 3/4 on 20s it was very drivable

I have an asp pulley on my 00' and the quality and fit was great. You can't got wrong direct from asp but google shopping is your friend. I just installed a powerbond udp on my 2012 6.2 and the install was less than stellar. It came as a package from sdparts.com (i believe they are a sponsor) If you plan on anything extensive sound wise I would go ahead and get the overdrive alt pulley.
