Default Strut upgrade with DJM 4" front?

Did any of you guys run a factory strut with the DJM 4" front control arms? I used the stock shock on my 01 with the 4" LCA. I was wondering if it will be fine with my 07.

people have been using stock struts on both setups.
otherwise there is the belltech drop strut as a cheap alternative.

I have been running my stock struts but I am looking for an alternative. The stock front struts suck.

I have a belltech setup right now that im not happy with. (strut/spindle) I am changing over to DJM control arms. I just wonder if I'll want to keep the belltech struts. I would hate the front end to be bouncing all over the place.

did you keep your stock strut? you could always leave in the belltechs and if its too bouncy replace them with the stockers until you find something esle

You have the DJM up front with a stock strut? Does it feel too soft going over any bumps?

I ran the stock struts for awhile with DJM arms. It rode fine until the DJM stuff crapped the bed on me a few months later. I didn't see any need for a change.

BTW, why did you take off your Belltech stuff just curious.

Yes I have the 4" DJM arms with my stock struts. Going over dips and humps on the highway they feel stock but if you go over cracks or any real bumps they seem too harsh. I was thinking of going with something that has better dampening abilities.

With the belltech spindle and strut the upper balljoint and tie rod angles were too great. It is running out of travel and binding up.

I have yet to install the DJM stuff because I found they are still using the same garbage balljoints after they told me on the phone they were not.

It never ends does it.
