So.. I have yet to see it done. An '07+ Silverado/Sierra reg cab short box(6'6") swap on a crew cab 5'8" box. I understand the mass amount of work involved. Frame chop, driveshaft shortened, etc etc. Has anyone done this..? Pics..?

 

I've seen one...it looked kind of cool, kind of strange... lol

 

I think Truckin featured a NBS with a set up like this, it was black and had gold pinstriping on it, the top was also chopped.

I don't recall ever seeing the 07+ with it done yet though, just the low production factory extended cabs that came with the crew bed.

I remember asking about this a couple years ago. Somebody posted a pic or two of one. If I had a RCSB truck, and found a deal on the midget bet, I'd do it.

 

I'd love to see some pics or links to pics. I have the chance to swap my box (6'6") with Pick A Part for a 5'8" box.

 

Yeah a Regular cab with the 5'8" bed. Would like to see that.

I wouldn't mind going the other way on my truck. Going from 5-8 to a 6.5 bed that way stuff can fit without having to leave the tailgate down to get a ice chest in it.
