Default Looking for swap opinions/advice

Has anyone done an m6 conversion in their nnbs? I really want to do one to mine, but I poked my head under the dash this weekend and though to myself "where the f am I going to fit the the clutch pedal assembly?!"

I'm now convinced it's beyond my own abilities and I'm wondering if I should try to find a shop that won't hack up my baby or if I should change directions and look for a 6.0 or 6.2 with an 80e.

Any thoughts? I know most guys here are a4 fans for racing and would point me that way without hesitation but I'm more interested in enjoying my everyday commute. Think the m6 is a realistic project to take on?

According to the Chevrolet Mexico website:

Chevrolet® México | Silverado1500 2011 | Chevrolet® Silverado1500

Silverados in Mexico with a v6 are available with a 5 speed. That must mean that there is some GM engineered parts out there. If you could get the part numbers, maybe you could buy the parts in the U.S.

Clutch pedal assembly should be the same as it is for the GMT800s

i think Daryn did the m6 converision before, but I think he ended up going to an 80e.
Iamkeniff did a 6L80 conversion.

Im not sure but i dont think any nnbs 6.2s or 6.0s came with 80es.

Nope no 4L80E GMT900s were built, at least not in the U.S.

Franky is right, daryn did a M6 swap. Wasnt bad he said, he didnt do a write up on it though. Daryn also went 4L80e with some help from Redheartbeats' write up. Anything is possible, now how much do you want to spend to make it happen
