Default 08 4L60E to 4L80E 4X4

I have a 2008 1500 Silverado 4X4 with a 4L60E. The transmission has been rebuilt twice. I am in the process of putting a trick turbo kit on so needles to say something needs to be done with the transmission. So I have been looking at doing a 4L80E swap but haven't been able to find anything on 4X4 swaps for that year/ style. Lots on guys with 2WDs. Has any one been able to do a swap on a 4X4? I have read about not being able to do segmented swaps on 08 computers so guys have been using van PCMs. Well vans didn't come with 4x4 that I know of. Is it just the 08 that have issues with segment swapping? Could I maybe use a newer PCM that would work with segment swapping or has some one figured the segment swapping issues out? Or dose it look like I am stuck with building a 4L60E up and hoping it holds together. Any ideas or input?
Thanks

I don't know if this will still work, i did a conversion from a non pc truck to a latter model compurterized motor in my
86 chev c-10 and i used lite emmiting diods with the proper ohm draw in circuits that were not used and it worked perfectly.
I hope that will help.

Try PCM of NC I just used their harness for a 2010 Silverado 2wd. I don't think it says anything in their website about 2 or 4wd. The tranny shop and tuner didn't believe it could be done without a segment swap but this worked. There customer service is great to answer questions over the phone.

I want to make sure I'm reading this correct. So I don't have to add the wires for the extra speed sensor into the pcm anymore? I know you used to have to add the wires for the extra vss sensor into the pcm.

Correct. The front input sensor does not need to be wired back to the PCM. If you have questions there customer service is real good give them a call.

Thank you. I just did that. I have a turbocharged 07 avalanche that Im going to be swapping a 4l80e into because my 60e just **** the bed on the way to work. Thanks for the info. This will make it just a little bit easier.

Right on glad it helped. One other thing I have experienced is after the swap I'm getting a drive line vibration. I have a 2 piece driveshaft and the crossmember the shop used I think the tail housing sits a bit higher than 4l60 did. So that may be why. Haven't really been able to get into it.
