Default Help guys 07 vortec max 2300 maggie wnt tune for 80lb inject factory ecm limits it 63

I had som injectors resized from FIC there 80lb injectors!well we were gona put in my truck but for a 07 MAX the ECM says 63lb injectors are the biggest..my friend checked other trucks he tuned like a 08 5.3 they say 120 injectors.so when he tried to put in the data it didnt work..WHAT DO U GUYS DO..we tried a ECM from a 09 siverado put the data in it the truck didnt take and ran shitty..BASICALLY WITHOUT A BIG HASSLE can a guy change that in my ECM TO TAKE A BIGGER INJECTOR than 63pounders..

Are you sure you had the unit set up correctly?

You will need to scale your IFR. the limit for newer ECM's is 63.5 lb/hr

Generally speaking, (I only know my own ECM limits) multiply injector flow rate by .5 and stoich fuel ratio by 2.

A good tuner will know exactly what to do. Go to hptuners.com or whatever website EFiLive users gather in. There are 100's of topics covering this (gets a little intimidating).

Uhhh, get a higher flow fuel pump....

Seriously, your stock pump (it's still stock right?) is probably not capable of delivering enough regular fuel to those 80's, let alone trying to do it with E85.

You might consider a stock, flex fuel, pump from an L9H truck. I don't know the flow rate but from what i understand that they are pretty good. If that's not enough, go aftermarket. It's the only choice you have really.

Good luck!

Try finding a fuel pump that works on pulse and not a constant 12V with the FPCM it isnt available without going to a return style system

Can you just not take the FPCM out and run a Fuel pump with a regulator at the tank?
