Default "Brush Grille Guard"

Has anybody seen one of these in real life, or better yet installed one on your truck?

www.gmaccessorieszone.com/Chevrolet/2011/Silverado/Brush%20Grille%20Guard/?src=chevrolet&tx_gmshopb2b_pi1[type]=gm

I've been looking for something like this but I didn't care for most of the ones I found online. Unfortunately this photo leaves too much to the imagination. GMPartsDirect.com sells them for $460, which isn't too bad.

Anybody?

lol, yeah I know. Problem is I do go off-road and I'd like something to keep the brush and small trees out of the grille, or a deer out of the radiator. Most of the brush guards I've seen are much more comical than this one - kind of like this one PLUS cartoon eyebrows.

Anybody else?

Only one I'd put on my truck is the road armor stuff. Full bumper replacement. Yes expensive but looks 100x better than the other stuff out there. JMHO of course.

I bet that one from GM uses double-sided 3M tape to hold it on....

Not worth it.

LOL! That's EXACTLY what I'm afraid of ....

Unfortunately it's the only one I've seen that is fairly low-profile, but does extend to the sides, out past the fog lights - which is just about exactly what I think I want.

Road Armor and others like it are very rugged looking but are full bumper replacements which is a little too heavy-duty for me (and a little too expensive, at $2,000 plus new fog lights, etc.). I also don't need one that goes all the way up to the hood and around past the headlights, like the Ranch Hand, Westin, etc.

Yeah, I know - "picky old fool!"

I would just like to be able to find a stock replacement bumper that is thicker than a pop can
