Default Shoptruck - Bluehawk

So after tuning a few different setups I decided I need to maybe build my own, plus I always wanted a bit of a shop truck for running around with. Found a low mileage 6.0L than I found the truck and it all went from there. The parts started to pile up in the corner of the garage and in 8 evenings and a weekend she was doing 70mph rolling Burnouts!

She started as a lowered 2000 Sierra. 5.3L and 4L60E all bone stock.

Had to make some changes to the outside, she was too flashy. Ended up Painting the grille shell, new black billet grille, painting the bumper keeping the two tone theme, painted in a rollpan and changed to a black caddy wheel.

Hated the stock cluster plus I needed a Trans temp gauge anyway. So Caddy cluster it was. Notice the SCG1 boost controller/wideband on the right. Clean fit.

So when me and my brother were talking what we want for power outta a shop truck we figured 600hp was the target. That lasted about an hour. No dyno numbers but she is making a fair bit more I'm sure.
LQ4 stock bottom end. Just gapped the rings and ARP rod bolts.
LS3 Cylinder heads with LS9 gaskets and ARP head studs.
LS3 Intake manifold with a 90mm DBC Throttle body.
Racetronix 340 pump with a KB BAP, 63lb Siemens Injectors, A1000 Reg 1:1
BTR Custom Grind on the cam, very subtle but effective.
Dual Valve Spring Kit, 7.4 Pushrods and Trunions on the Rockers
Yank PAS 3400 Converter in a Level 5 FLT 4L65E
Stock 10 bolt with a Trutrac 3.73 GM gears.
Precision Turbo PT74/75
KB Racing Hot/Cold Side all ceramic coated, hot side wrapped too.
Innovate SCG1 Boost Controller / Wideband
Snow Perf. Stage 1 (70/30)
MSD 2 step (for those rolling burnouts)
Flexalite Dual Electric Fans

Bluehawk is a lot of fun. Drives like stock, has incredible power when needed, gets 22mpg, cruise control, air condition. Perfect Shop Truck.

Kyle your kit was amazing to work with. Everything fit perfectly. I appreciate you doing that for me. You were great to deal with as well. Any and all questions were answered.

I found a place called TTS Power Systems I love how clean it looks and puts a little bit of an angle on the driver as well. Nice piece. I believe if its still available you can get them with a switch built in too.

BTW truck ended up making 840rwhp/755rwtq on 16 lbs (650rwhp on 10lbs)
I have no doubt with more spring in the gate and the controller on kill it would make 1000 at the tire on around 22-23lbs.

See, this is what I would like. I would never need to run it past 16 or 17 psi even. Only difference is I would probably stay with the LC9 5.3 heads and intake I have for cost savings.
Nicely done.
