Default 67 to 68 grill

Why can't I use a grill from a 1967 to 1968 on my 1970 C-10? Or can it be modified to work? I plan on putting a cowl hood of the correct year on my truck and I may pie cut the hood. I know the radiator supports are different according to all the catalogs but I have seen them both side by side to see the difference.

Front fenders are different too. 67' & 68' are the same except for no marker light hole on the 67'. Then 69'-72' is the same.

Default grill

yes, the fenders and hood have a greater angle than the 69-72,s I guess will have to find a parts store look at the mounting holes of the grill.
