Talking Wrenching skills are progressing!

Just wanted to share my accomplishments with someone...
I got my LS6 Springs and Manley Pushrods installed this past Saturday, feeling pretty good about it! One less thing on the to-do list!

4 months ago all I could do was change the oil and air filter (I guess I did change the spark plugs), then my fuel pump shot craps the 2nd week of December and I had to pay $1000 for a replacement. That didn't feel too good, so I thought I should learn how to wrench. 6 weeks of reading on here, couple hundred at Harbor Freight for cheap tools and a jack, now I'm pulling valve covers and transmission pans, getting psyched for a cam swap!

From reading for 3 months I've installed TA e-fans, vette servo, changed my transmission filter/fluid, got myself a mail order tune, installed an overdrive alternator pulley, Hellwig rear sway bar, Prothane front sway bar bushings, remote starter, O2 sensors, springs and rods... pretty proud of myself! And this 150k mile, used to be a grandpa truck is driving pretty damn good!!

The only bummer is that I won't have time to install my cam, oil pump, timing chain and UD pulley till mid April... It's going to be a long month!

And a big thanks to Slammed96 for dropping off his spring compressor and pulley puller to help me out!

I'm actually excited about doing the cam swap, I should learn a lot. The only part that's worrying me is dropping the oil pan. That, I'm not excited about.

Congrats!! Knowledge is power! Investing in a complete toolset is a great idea! This is why all my nephews (4 of them) all get tools for christmas and birthdays from me.
