Shoot me a PM when you're gonna do the cam swap... I'll make the trip down to help/help drink beer.

Question for you guys... so I've basically said how much I'm capable of to this point. Assuming that the cam swap goes well, the next step for me is either headers or a Circle D converter.

I've read the "How To" for installing a converter a couple times and it seems straight forward enough, do you guys think this is something that I can pull off in my garage, with the limited wrenching experience that I have? I did install the vette servo and changed my filter/fluid, but overall the transmission is a scary piece to mess with. Along with this, I would also install a tru-cool and possibly shift kit.

Thanks for any input!

I would think a converter shouldn't be to hard to do. Just a pain wrestling a transmission around on your chest getting it in and out. As long as you make sure the converter gets seated properly you will be golden. Not sure on the shift kit, never done one on a 60e.

I did my converter without even taking the transmission completely out of my truck, I did it alone so thats why I did it like that, just slide it back enough to swap them out.
Its defanitly something that you should try to do yourself at home with a couple buddys.
Its not hard just some of the bolts need a very long extension.
