i am skeptical but i hope it works. we need a few more reports.

there wont be any usefull rise in octane, just too little of the stuff added. i was running 5 gallons at a time with xylene.

i dont think there is any rubber in our fuels sytems. i would be amazed if that stuff hurt anything. i hope it works.

See my post above.

Also, I think I speak on behalf of the this forum when I say that I'd be pissed if I found out you blew your motor because of this. Personally I'm going to wait to see the other's results. I just don't know enough about the chemistry behind it to trust that it will work.

Godspeed to those of you that are brave enough to try it!

I already have plans to try it in our 6.0 liter and also our suburban. It's not enough to blow up anything, I also had figured that it wouldnt be enough to actually do anything...I was wrong

Gas mileage.....with you're truck......pa-lease!

Seriously though, I was looking at that mpg vs. oz of acetone curve again. And after discussing it with my fellow nerds with our calculators in our nerdery. We came across the very obvious fact that if you slightly exceed 3 oz per 10gal, then you probably won't really damage anything. But by the same token, you won't gain any gas mileage. Something to think about for those of you that do this. Be precise in the amount you add. Based off the graph, there's a small window you must stay within, otherwise, your results are useless......

I think.

Yes, like so many things in life. Along the same lines, I keep coming back to something philosophical one of my professors says about science/engineeering......Nothing is free.

Do it.........
