Gettin' my squash together, one more question; when replacing the tie rods- do I install the news ones to the same length as the old ones or just let the alignment guy worry about it...............

get it as close to the old ones as possible. some say count the revolutions as you remove the outer rod. or measure the distance

Hey guys- stared tearing into the front end. As you all know I figured while down there with the front apart I was gonna go ahead with the McGaughy 11004 drop kit. Guess I shouldda looked first as my front hangers are welded on, now that I'm here; can I slice'em off, grind smooth and drill holes for the new hardware? Has anyone don ethat B4? Is there a reason I should forget the whole thing................
TIA

A long pipe on a breaker bar.

You can also blast the nut with a little map gas torch to heat it up and it should break free better.

Or a stronger impact gun.

Thanks FF- coaxed it a little with a blow torch and got the nut off. Got the spindle off, too. Went ahead and took off the UCA. Now the big question- do I really need to unload the torsion bars to remove the LCA?
TIA
